Sydney Dragway final round of the Atura Series and the top 5 were vying for the Championship, However a couple of B/JD`s didn`t see the script and proceeded to run straight to the final. Antonio took the series on points after dropping out with the others up to E4. A red saw Jackson trailered in the semi leaving Allirah and Joshua to go to the final where Allirah with an .018 light took the gold and made it worth the trip from Victoria with Dad. Rookie Tara got through 3 Qualifiers and was out in E1 but good for the experience.

Well the final round of the Atura Championship had arrived, and what a day of racing it turned out to be!!!!!
The day started with josh bowing out of the first qualifier on the start line with clutch problems. Thankfully it was only a minor issue and we were back on the track for the 2nd and 3rd qualifying runs, both times getting a good result.
Our first elimination was up against good friend Chelsea Smith, and with a double break out Josh was lucky enough to be the closer one to his dial in time and came away with the win.
Elimination 2 was up against another mate Lachlan and unfortunately for Lachlan, Josh got the win was off to the next round.
Elimination 3 was up against Max Perri who was also having a great day, and Josh came came away with another win which put him into the semi final.
Elimination 4(semi final) was up against Jackson Perri and even though it was a tough race, but Josh once again had the win lights flash so that meant he was off to his first final run.
Finals was up against another really good friend who had traveled a long way to race, it was always going to be close race with both cars being in the “B class”. Unfortunately for Josh he broke out and Allirah got the win, but for Josh taking home the runner up trophy was just as good, and you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.
Congrats Josh on taking home you first junior dragster trophy and we are sure the will be many more to come.

Also Congrats to Geoffrey on his first round win and making it through to the 2nd eliminations. Good Luck next season.

Thank you to all the juniors and their families that have made this season great and we can’t wait to get back on the track in January 2019. [Berto Family Racing]

Was a great day of racing yesterday for the last track championship of 2018. I qualified 5th out of 21 juniors and was up against Josh in first round. Unfortunately it was a double break out but I had it worse so that is what sent me home but congratulations to Josh Berto for taking out runner up for this meet. Also congratulations to Antonio Panetta for taking out the championship in his last year of juniors. I would like to thank my mum dad and sister for letting me do this amazing sport. I would also like to my sponsors as well JM Auto Repairs, Speedys diff, Powercruise Promotions, APM, J.S Customs, Liquid Clothing, Burson Wollongong and Tony’s Smash. Bring on the 2019 track championship [Chelsea Smith]
